Summit-Book – the New Year's Book 2026

The 2026 New Year's book takes you on a tactile journey to Switzerland's highest peak.

The Dufourspitze is part of the Monte Rosa massif and lies between Valais and Italy at 4,634 metres above sea level. The summit book picks up on this height and makes it tangible.

The staircase embossing on the Flatbook open creates a relief that echoes the contour lines of the Dufourspitze. The visual sequence begins at 3,900 metres above sea level and leads level by level to the summit at 4,634 metres. Because a mountain is climbed not in big steps, but level by level...

Three different grammages make the different altitude levels tangible. The levels were laminated partly by machine and partly by hand. This creates a special feel that reflects the interplay of industrial efficiency and craftsmanship at Bubu.

The altitude information is finished with white foil embossing. The imprint was produced using digital printing with HP Indigo and implemented with white printing.
Lessebo Colours Cherry in 300 gsm, 225 gsm and 160 gsm from Fischer Papier was used. The white foil colour V911 from Kurz and the precise white printing of the HP Indigo complement the book perfectly.

Just as a mountain consists of many layers, this New Year's book was also the result of multi-layered collaboration. Because where perspectives meet, new things become possible.
