Binding types

Choosing the right binding method influences not only the appearance of a book, but also its functionality, durability and ease of use. Different binding methods are suitable depending on the number of pages, intended use and desired effect. We have compiled a selection of the most important binding methods for you.

Brochures

A brochure, often also referred to as a softcover, is a versatile and cost-effective binding solution. It features one or more flexible covers, can be produced with or without flaps and is usually trimmed on three sides. Thanks to its flexible construction, it is suitable for a wide range of applications in professional book and print production.

Hardcover

A hardcover, also known as a case binding, is generally characterised by rigid covers, three trimmed edges and a book case with a spine insert. It offers a particularly durable and high-quality binding solution.

Edge Printing

With printed book edges, your book becomes a real eye-catcher. In addition to the front and back, the page edges can be individually designed and enhanced with colours, patterns or motifs. The result is a fully designed book with a unique character and high recognition value.
