Which direction are the arrows pointing in the ‘Direction’ New Year's book?
Pick it up and flick through it with different movements.
You will see: sometimes the arrows point forward, sometimes backward. It's all a matter of perspective.

We at Bubu are optimistic: we look ahead! This New Year's book is also proof of this.
It combines Flatbind binding with sustainable materials and
classic index punching to create an environmentally friendly and sophisticated product. This New Year's book was also designed by Mireille Burkhardt of BOB Design Ltd.

Flatbind is a special single-sheet adhesive binding process in which the content sheets are roughened and bonded with a dispersion adhesive. This adhesive is applied in a thin layer and is characterised by its high flexibility. Flatbind is particularly convincing from an ecological point of view: Compared to other binding methods, up to 70% less energy is consumed during production. Two different papers were used for the content of the New Year's Book 2025: ‘Transphere white offset semi-transparent 57 g/m²’ and ‘Image Coloraction, Chile/red 80 g/m²’.

The cover is made of the paper ‘Image Coloraction, Chile/red 160 g/m²’ and a high-quality fabric cover. This fabric, ‘Paradise 7507 pink orange’ from Manifattura del Seveso, was additionally refined by screen printing and gives the book a special feel and elegance. Incidentally, the content pages are bound using the Japanese binding technique. The quads are closed at the front.

This beautiful New Year's book truly inspires thoughts of a bright future! Thanks to the practical index punching, it can be divided into different chapters. A faithful companion for notes, ideas, wishes and sketches.
